  • Resolved myriad legacy issues (legal, commercial, financial, etc) including €7M of debts, began the integration process with Group company partners

As Interim Managing Director of a wind turbine OEM, I took over in a “drop dead” situation.

I initially focused the business on a few critical issues (primarily availability and lack of service response) to reduce penalty cash out and begin to recover company reputation. In doing so I stopped many unnecessary activities and brought commercial awareness.

I conserved cash wherever possible because when I took over the business was paying out large sums in penalties each month.

I later focused sales activity on bringing in winnable tenders and made the business more responsive to supporting sales activity.

I drove project, technical and commercial management to ensure machines delivered did not have historical failings.

I accelerated the resolution of many commercial, technical and operational legacy problems. The result was to bring in €7m of old debts and more than halved penalty payments.

I brought in key skills to achieve the turnaround and instigate better practice in future.
