  • Successfully ran business unit from a drop dead taking over three weeks from year-end

  • Major improvement to order delivery and field service response time, addressed multiple organisational issues

  • Business unit achieved its metrics (critically, year end and quarters) in an environment of rapid change

I put measures in place and ensured that business unit core business activity was functioning correctly and predictably, quickly making changes where necessary. This part of the business then substantially ran itself.

I brought focus to on time deliveries against commitments – all metrics improved as as result.

I put in place a recruitment and training campaign to increase the capacity and competency of the field service offer to overcome the issue of demand exceeding supply.

I led and managed major bids (including LTSA type) for renewal of contracts for traction engine support and took part in the same exercise for the naval marine division.

I began to rebuild the international sales organisation and contract teams, which were facing multiple issues.
